Our Services …

Our promise is to provide you with the best possible service to ensure you receive optimum eye care. This includes the use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) at each visit, so that we can maintain an on-going photographic record to monitor any changes that may occur.

OCT is a non-invasive imaging test that uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina, the light sensitive tissue lining the back of the eye. This helps with the early diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and retinal diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.

Not all practices have this technology and, whilst this is often charged as an extra, we consider that it is an important and necessary feature to enable us to provide the best possible eye care for you and we do not make any additional charge.

Now you can try before you buy! Using the head set in the photograph on the right, we can show you around a room trying out the various lens types available and enabling a direct comparison between one product and another. We can also show you the difference between lenses with or without an anti-reflection coating, polarised or non-polarised sun glasses – and much more.

The Nautilus will give you an interactive 360 degree experience of the different options selected by your optometrist, enabling you to confidently choose the lens that would work best for you.

Expert advice can also be provided if you use contact lenses and we shall be happy to offer monthly packages to suit your particular needs, where this may be beneficial for you. You can also purchase lenses via a direct debit scheme which includes the cost of solutions, free and convenient home delivery and annual contact lens checks.

We are affiliated with corporate schemes SEE:Smart Employee Eyecare (previously ICE) and Edenred’s Eyecare Voucher. Vouchers are accepted in our practice.

We are a ‘paper free’ practice so your personal details are filed electronically and confidentiality is guaranteed. We will send you a reminder automatically when your next examination is due.

Finally, our dispensing professionals will advise you on the best frames suited to your particular needs – both ophthalmic and budget – from the extensive range we stock. If there’s something you have in mind that you can’t see, however, tell us as we can usually source other frames you may fancy.

Go to our Frames and Ranges page to see the full range we stock. If you don’t see what you want don’t worry, just ask us. We can usually source any special requirements you may have.
